My Story
I have CELTA certification with 15 years+ experience, which includes teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) in primary education.
I started my teaching career in primary teaching, working in lots of different schools and age groups (4-11) in the North East of England. I worked in India for a Non-Government Organisation (NGO), Deepalaya. My role involved providing English classes to underprivileged children in the slums of Delhi.
After 10 years in primary education, I went on to teaching English as a Second Language to refugees, asylum seekers and young learners in colleges and local authorities. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language in Chile, India and in the UK. Pre-Covid, I worked in a private language school, teaching English to professionals and teenagers from Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East.
